Feyzi Erçin is widely recognized as one of Turkey’s leading lawyers in transport and insurance law. A niche practitioner for over three decades, he primarily advises the UK, German, and Swiss insurance and reinsurance markets.

Since 1993, Feyzi has practiced exclusively in transport and insurance law. He is regularly instructed by almost all major London law firms with insurance, aviation, or marine practices, as well as directly by leading reinsurers in London, Germany, and Switzerland.

Feyzi began his career as a shipping lawyer, participating early on in the investigation of major maritime casualties, including the Nassia–Shipbroker collision, the second-worst marine disaster in Turkish waters, while still a trainee solicitor. Over the years, he has acted in a wide range of marine incidents, including total losses, collisions, oil spills, piracy, and salvage operations. He continues to represent major London shipping law firms and UK and Scandinavian P&I Clubs, with extensive experience in defence, cargo claims, and charter party disputes.

Feyzi is also recognised as Turkey’s leading aviation lawyer, with unmatched experience in major losses, ground handling disputes, and airport liability. He has represented London liability underwriters in nearly all total-loss aviation cases involving Turkish aircraft, including the Turkish Airlines loss in Diyarbakır and the Atlasjet loss in Isparta. Feyzi is a regular attendee and speaker at the IATA World Legal Symposium and has also attended and spoken at the Willis Aviation Conference, reflecting his standing in the global aviation law community. His aviation experience spans a wide range of matters, from smuggling and repossession claims to aircraft finance matters, airport terrorist attacks and general aviation accidents.
