Seray joined EBB Law Firm as a trainee in 2017 and was admitted to the Istanbul Bar in 2018. She works with Dilek Bektaşoğlu Sanlı.

She has attended the Insurance Law LL.M. programme at Queen Mary University of London in 2021-2022, where she advanced her insight into English (re)insurance and shipping law and international practice. Her dissertation, examining the reinsurance implications of differing regimes on risk control clauses under English and Turkish laws, was published in the British Insurance Law Association (“BILA”) Journal in 2023.

On the insurance side, she advises on (re)insurance coverage, claims handling, and regulatory matters across various lines of business, including financial lines such as BBB, D&O, professional indemnity, third-party liability, product liability, property and all-risks policies. Her practice covers the full lifecycle of insurance disputes, from coverage analysis to representing clients before the courts, engaging in alternative dispute resolution, and pursuing recovery claims. She has broad experience in high-profile cross-border liability cases arising from complex bank dishonesty claims and catastrophic events, including major train accidents, forest fires, explosions, and landslides.

On the shipping and transport side, she advises on international shipbuilding, repair, and conversion projects, and handles cargo disputes, marine liability matters, and ship arrests. Her experience also covers freight forwarding, road and rail carriage, and disputes arising out of international sale of goods, as well as logistics-related claims such as warehouse fires and floods.

She represents a broad range of Turkish and international clients, including reinsurers predominantly in the London market, underwriters, brokers, adjusters, as well as shipyards, shipowners, and cargo interests.
